M-Spin is an Imperial College London spinout which has developed a process for producing ultra-high surface area metallic and ceramic mats using a proprietary electrospinning process. The products can be used as electrodes and current collectors in electrolysers, batteries and fuel cells where the high surface area drives a step-change in performance. The electrospinning process developed by M-Spin is cost effective, highly scalable, and the mats can be produced using commercial electrospinning machines with only minor modifications. M-Spin is actively engaged with a number of customers to commercialise the technology.
