We are delighted to announce that the Parkwalk Opportunities EIS Fund has completed an investment in Oxford Flow, an Oxford University spin-out company developing and manufacturing innovative pressure control equipment.
Oxford Flow has arisen from the work of Professor Tom Povey, of the university’s Osney Thermo-Fluids Laboratory and particularly from his studies on Pressure Regulator Valves (PRVs) in the jet and rocket engine arena.
Oxford Flow designs and manufactures a new type of flow regulating valve for gases and liquids. With mechanical properties superior to any products currently in the market, valves designed using Oxford Flow’s IP are lighter, cheaper and more reliable than existing comparable valves. Moreover, by reducing the number of parts in valves to five from the hundred or so typically found in incumbent units, means that Oxford Flow’s products are virtually maintenance free, thus offering significant savings in maintenance budgets.
